- Retrieve vehicles and take them to your work area after receiving a repair order
- Follow the repair order closely, and handle all the work that is outlined
- Communicate with our parts department when you’re in need of a necessary part
- Keep your supervisor informed of your needs. If you need more time for a service, you should let them know
- Perform a diagnosis when authorized
- Maintain documentation of the work that was performed
- Follow all guidelines and regulations. This includes local, state, and also federal guidelines
- Closely follow all safety guidelines
- Follow all housekeeping policies for your work area
- Tag and save parts upon request, or when the part is under warranty
- Keep a close eye on all factory and technical bulletins
- Routinely use quality checks in order to make sure that the repair is adequate
- Promptly attend your training classes so that you can continue to grow as a technician
- Perform a road test in order to ensure that the repair is sound
